Current Seminars and Training

Andrew Wales, Managing Director of Omega Environmental, will be presenting a series of short seminars around Australia during August and September to share his knowledge and experience on management systems development. The seminars will provide attendees with an opportunity to hear first hand about the dos and don'ts of applying sustainability in local government, with an emphasis on developing an integrated approach to sustainable management (incorporating environment, social, financial, OHS and risk management systems). Andrew will focus on the key steps to moving sustainability and environmental management beyond a trendy catchphrase, to a practical, effective business tool that delivers clear results to your organisation.

Seminars will be held in the following locations:

  • Adelaide - 3 August 2004 - St Mark's College Inc., Pennington Terrace, North Adelaide
  • Melbourne - 4 August 2004 - International House, 241 Royal Parade, Parkville
  • Hobart - 5 August 2004 - Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel, 1 Macquarie Street, Hobart
  • Brisbane - 11 August 2004 - Carindale Hotel, Carindale Street, Carindale
  • Sydney - 31 August 2004 - Venue to be announced
  • Perth - 7 September 2004 - Hotel Grand Chancellor, Wellington st, Perth

The seminars run from 9:15am to 12:30pm. The cost of the seminar is $49.50 per delegate, which includes morning tea. Anyone can attend the seminars, although Council staff, management and elected members will find the presentation particularly useful.
