Omega Environmental is a provider of high-quality, cost effective CCP™ assistance services to Australian local government. Omega comprises a small team of highly experienced environmental professionals, who have been delivering CCP™ assistance to Councils across Australia for over four years. We have worked with Councils across all five Milestones of the CCP™ Program and CCP™ Plus initiative, as well as delivered innovative ancillary services to Councils such as Energy Week Programs, energy management framework development and the coordination of energy performance improvement projects. 

Our CCP™ services have been developed to meet the needs of any Council, regardless of their staffing levels or available budget. In particular, we have endeavoured to structure our primary CCP™ Assistance Packages to enable them to be delivered at a cost equal or close to the corresponding Milestone grants provided by the Australian Greenhouse Office. This has enabled many Councils to draw on our expertise to progress through the CCP™ Program with minimal internal funding required.

Most importantly, all our services are designed to maintain Council ownership of the CCP™ Program. We work cooperatively with Council staff to ensure they understand and appreciate all aspects of the Program and the components we develop, so when the time comes for us to step aside, there is little risk of the organisation’s CCP™ ‘momentum’ slowing. 

Ultimately, Omega fills an important niche in the local government environmental management framework. We kick-start Councils’ CCP™ Programs and take them to a level where they are delivering significant and immediate returns, at minimal cost and while still empowering Council’s to better cope with ‘going it alone’ when we leave.
